A new treatment option for people living with CIDP in Serbia
Association of CIDP, GBS and MMN Patients of Serbia · 07. 08. 2026.
The Rulebook amending the List of Medicines prescribed and dispensed at the expense of mandatory health insurance funds has been published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia, introducing a new treatment option for:
• Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP)
• Primary Immunodeficiencies (PID)
The new option is HyQvia® (facilitated subcutaneous human immunoglobulin), which will be included on the reimbursement list of the Republic Health Insurance Fund of Serbia (RFZO) for these indications.
According to the published information, the therapy is expected to become available from 26 August 2026.
The introduction of an additional treatment option represents an important step toward expanding therapeutic choices and improving access to modern therapies for people living with CIDP in Serbia.
The decision on whether a specific treatment option is appropriate for an individual patient is made by a specialist physician, based on the patient’s medical condition and clinical criteria.
